To the Loyal Customers of Kimmel Scrap,

Most of us have hopefully returned to work and are trying to resume normal levels of production. There continue to be multiple headwinds slowing down the progress of getting back to work. Perhaps one of the largest of these is a shortage of skilled/experienced workers to keep the operation running smoothly. This shortage is probably caused by multiple factors, but at the end of the day it results in less people trying to do more work. When this occurs sometimes things slip through the cracks. This could mean hoppers get dumped into the wrong roll-off, maintenance scrap ends up in the steel turnings, or lids get left off of luggers and someone from the neighborhood uses it as their personal land fill. When these things happen, it causes several problems further down the recycling stream. When these mixed materials comes to Kimmel, it will have to be sorted with machines or by hand, and possibly downgraded altogether. It is Kimmel scrap Iron and Metal’s goal to provide the best customer service and we will always be here to help through the good, bad, and ugly. We ask that you do your best to keep your recyclables in good order the best that you can, and know that it is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Sam Peters
