To the Loyal Customers of Kimmel Scrap,
Many of you might have noticed the new sticker on the back of the envelope that contains not only this letter but your payment for last month’s scrap metal. The sticker is announcing our celebration of 70 years in Michigan, recycling scrap metal.
All of the Kimmel Scrap employees are proud of this accomplishment. I always try to point out, it is not only the Kimmel Family that has made this milestone, but both our employees and you our customers. Growing up in this industry, I still remember stuffing Christmas card envelopes with my sisters Sharon and Julie as well as answering the business phone in our house and hopefully remembering to tell our father. Going with my father Morris early Saturday or Sunday mornings in the summer to help out some customer who might have had some issue that could not wait until Monday. Learning how to grease trucks, change oil, and drive an end loader all at 10 or 11 years old. Every day I try to start the day and remember some of the things my father taught me. Most important is you only have one name and never dishonor your name or reputation.
