To the Loyal Customers of Kimmel Scrap,

Many of our customers are aware of the increased importance we are placing on safety in the work environment. We are requiring our drivers to wear both hard hats, vests and safety glasses whenever they leave their trucks as well as all crane operators and visitors to Kimmel. So far we have seen a drop in injuries here at Kimmel as well as outside of our facility.

This past week we have taken delivery of our first new truck with an automatic transmission and more computer hardware that I have ever seen. We hope to have this new truck on the road and at your place within the next month. We continue to invest in our equipment whether it be trucks, cranes, boxes or computers to allow us to service you our customers in a manner you deserve.

Commodity prices have dropped on ferrous scrap items a little. There does not seem to be a large swing at this time as we saw last year in the ferrous market. Nickel and chrome alloys have seen a slight uptick but we do not believe it will be long lived. Aluminum prices have continued to remain very steady, and copper and brass prices have also seen very little movement in price.

We want to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Labor Day holiday.

If you have any questions regarding service, materials or pricing please contact either myself or TJ at our office.

Regarding requests for service any customers wishing to fax requests for service are welcome to use fax number 313-934-2141 and as always please feel free to e-mail us at dispatch@kimmelscrap.com, visit our website www.kimmelscrap.net or call 313-934-1100 and talk with one of our friendly staff including me.
