To The Loyal Customers of Kimmel Scrap Iron & Metal Co.

As we enter the end of 2025 it is amazing to remember just 5 years ago, we were in the beginning of the Covid outbreak. We were not sure what actions to take, who was essential and where I can order N95 facemasks. In our storage area we still have very expensive hand sanitizers that are now available at a dollar store. Times change but fundamentals are still the same.

Scrap metal prices have been stagnant for most of the last 2 quarters of 2025. There are various new projects scheduled for 2026 and beyond. Nippon steel has proposed an 11-billion-dollar expansion for U.S. Steel in Braddock Pennsylvania and other U.S. Steel properties. How will this affect us? We should expect to see an increase in demand for scrap into these facilities and increase in prices. Just like Covid we need to adjust, plan and renew our commitment to stay on course.

We are always looking to increase the volume of scrap metal we purchase each month. I would appreciate any kind words or recommendations to your friends or customers.

We at Kimmel Scrap wish you and your family a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Holiday.

Sincerely,
Robert
