To The Loyal Customers of Kimmel Scrap:

This issue of our newsletter is easy.  War in Iran and how it has affected both Scrap metal prices and the ancillary services that goes with your material.  Many of you have seen scrap carbide prices are at all time high, due to controls instituted on tungsten from China and substantial increase in demand for inserts and drills for both defense, aerospace, tungsten hexafluoride in semiconductor manufacturing and EV programs.

Costs for tires and fuel have gone through the roof as you are aware.  We are always attempting to improve our efficiency, either through scheduling our truck in a more efficient manner done by Holly who handles dispatch or through better upkeep in our facility to protect our tires and trucks from flats or damage to equipment.

Things you can do to help: Please try and keep the roadways in front and behind our containers open and not blocked. Please try and contact dispatch a day before you need service.  Try and keep loads of scrap below top of the box and try to maximize the use of the container.

We appreciate your business and anything we can do to help, please contact us.
