To the Loyal Customers of Kimmel Scrap,
As we get deeper into June the restrictions are lifting, manufacturing ramps up and the return to normal or a new normal if you prefer gets closer every day. As with any other safety topic we must not become complacent when it comes to the virus. We can all continue to do our part by washing our hands, social distancing and wearing masks when needed. I’d like to compare it to the first time I remember hardhats becoming required. We all hated the idea. Workers would say, “I haven’t worn a hardhat in 20 years why now?” Fast forward and now, without a hardhat I feel unsafe. Now, these other employees wouldn’t think of going to work without a hardhat. It has become parts of the uniform. It was a change for the better. Unlike hardhats becoming a permanent safety feature, I think most of us believe the social distancing and face masks are temporary. Like you, I am looking forward to handshakes, hugs, high-fives and hamburgers with friends and business associates. Until then and regardless of your stance on the virus please remember to be respectful of each other, each other’s stance on when to return and we’ll get through this together. Until we get there let’s not become complacent.
Be safe and be well. I’m looking forward to that high-five.
Thank you,
Ken
