To The Loyal Customers of Kimmel Scrap Iron:
Although March came in with some renewed optimism and excitement for the steel market, February left us with a heavy heart with the loss of our beloved matriarch Ruth Kimmel. Ruth and her husband Morey moved the business from Iowa City to Detroit in 1950 and after 65+ years in Detroit we are certain they would insist that we continue to build upon the foundation they set forth. On behalf of Robert and the Kimmel family, thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
As we carry on with March and spring around the corner, it was refreshing to have markets improve with increases in the steel, copper and the nickel markets. Speaking of a new season we have launched our new website, www.kimmelscrap.net. We are very excited and hope that you too will find the website more user friendly. With the new site comes an alternative for requesting service. In addition to faxing, calling or emailing you can now also request service from the comfort of your phone. We feel that it is important for you to have options when requesting service regardless of the day or time. We hope you find the added option useful.
